What to Expect When You Visit:

Cornerstone is full of down-to-earth, friendly people who are united around following Jesus. You will find a sincerely welcoming environment with uplifting worship and Biblical teaching. Our Day Shift service on Sunday mornings lasts approximately 90 minutes. There is no pressure to participate or contribute. You’re welcome to simply come, observe, and take it all in. Casual dress is perfectly fine!

Who Cornerstone Church is for:

Cornerstone Church Memphis is for anyone honestly looking for a Bible-based church with a focus on the transformative power of Jesus and mostly expository (straight-out-of-the-Bibile) preaching. Anyone new to the area or new to attending church or those returning after time away are all welcome. We are a mix of young to seasoned individuals, families, singles, married, divorced, single parents, blended families, and anyone looking for hope, purpose, and community in Jesus. What denomination is Cornerstone Church?

We are a non-denominational, multi-age, and multi-cultural church with a senior pastor, an associate pastor, four serving elders and an appointed volunteer teaching team. We are focused on Jesus and His example and believe the Bible to be accurate and true from the first word to the last.

What are the days and times for Cornerstone services?

Sunday Day Shift: 10:30 am

Where do I park?

Free parking is available on-site.

What should I wear?

We run the gamut from collars and dresses to blue jeans and t-shirts. Most people dress casually, but fancy is fine, too.

Where are the restrooms located?

The Men’s and Women’s restrooms in our main building are located in the front lobby.

Will I be asked to give money?

We offer a time of giving for our membership during every Sunday morning service, but there is no expectation for guests to give.

What can I expect during a Sunday morning at Cornerstone?

A casual, contemporary service that runs approximately 90 minutes with music, worship, a time of communion, and Biblical teaching.

What can I expect during a Sunday evening at Cornerstone?

A guided and conversant Bible study around a table in the gymnasium.

What can I expect during a Wednesday evening at Cornerstone?

A casual dinner followed by music, worship and a Bible-based discussion on foundational theology. We are currently studying The Purple Book.

Is childcare available?

For our Sunday morning “Day Shift”, we offer nursery and class for ages 0-6. Children are welcome to join us in the sanctuary. We provide Kid's Sermon Notes in a dedicated area in the rear of the sanctuary for families to sit together with their children if they may need a more casual space.

On Wednesdays, we have a two-hour service called Nite Life which begins with a casual dinner and then transitions to different classes from Nursery age to Adults after a short time of corporate teaching and worship music.

What specific safety protocols are in place for student ministry?

Cornerstone Church Memphis is committed to protecting the vulnerable, especially our students. Student Ministry leaders are background-checked and trained in safety protocols via protectmyministry.com.

Cornerstone strictly adheres to Tennessee law as per Tennessee Code Annotated 37-1-403.

What is the membership process like at Cornerstone?

Simple and straightforward. Can you answer the following questions affirmatively?

Q1. Is Jesus both Lord and Savior in your personal life?

Q2. Do you believe in the Holy Bible as God’s perfect and complete moral word, and as the perfect guide for practical community?

Q3. Will you commit to a relationship with us as a forgiving and hospitable brother or sister, responsible to your fellow members and accountable to appointed church leadership?

Q4. Will you commit to attend and participate faithfully?

Q5. Will you contribute as you are able and led to the financial health and ministry of Cornerstone Church?
